The story begins back in the 1970s, when I started growing mt interest in handmade things.
Wood was the first thing I came into contact with when I was growing up in the area around Gråsten State Forest. Wood was tinkered with in the basement at my father's workbench, and experiences with the material were learned. There were many small projects that never came to fruition, mostly because my experience had to be gathered by trying everything myself.
A little later, leather was the next material I came into contact with, which aroused great interest. Here was something that was completely different from wood. It was flexible and malleable in a completely different way than wood.
Over the years, the experiences with these materials were expanded and used in my private circle. In 2010 and onwards, ideas about producing different things started to emerge. My sons got ideas for the company Nerdo situated in Århus Denmark, which was their take on the design and production of different things. Here, leather was the big focus. Necessary tools and materials were purchased, and goods were exhibited at exhibitions in Aarhus, and websites and web shops were set up online.
After a few years, the adventure was over, and they had to move on with jobs in completely different industries and companies, but some of the Nerdo products still exist and can still be purchased through LBJ.
At present, things are mostly produced under individual agreements and individual design, but still handmade according to old experiences with quality as the main thing.
See examples here on the website and contact LBJ if you are interested in something.
